The bill that came before the Florida Senate committee actually allows that any doctor board certifed before 2009 would remain board certified. As I had to point out to FCEP's GAC, the original language would decertify anyone grandfathered into ABEM. The senate bill was withdrawn at the request of the sponsor during the hearing, when it became obvious that it would not pass. This is called T.P.'d or temporarily postponed, but actually means the bill is withdrawn. Dr Graber has objected to her editorials being reprinted without her permission.
